FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASEがアナウンスされたので早速テスト。
正攻法（？）ならmake worldだろうけど、せっかくなのでfreebsd-updateでアップグレード。
・・・が、しかし、ブートディスクがGPTでZFSな8.0で実施したら、リブートでkernelが読めなくって玉砕。(たぶんFixitで対応kernel入れるなりすれば直ると思うけど、実験環境だったし勉強のため入れ直した)
そういう事で手探り感ありありでうまくいった方法を紹介。
スキップできる部分もあるだろうけど、その辺は識者にまかせますｗ
まずは普通の手順通り。
# freebsd-update upgrade -r 8.1-RELEASE
# freebsd-update install
ここで、手順だとリブートだが上がらなくなるので、ソースツリーを持ってくる。
# cvsup -g -L 2 /etc/standard-supfile
supfileは適当に読み替えて。一応タグは8.1-RELEASEを持ってくる様に。
# cd /usr/src/sys/boot
# make obj
# make depend
# make
# cd i386/loader
# make install
一応pmbrも
# gpart bootcode -b /boot/pmbr -p /boot/gptzfsboot -i 1 ad0
loader作るときとか/etc/src.confやrc.conf、loader.confは大丈夫だろうけどチェックしておく様に。あとkernelmoduleも。
これで、問題なく上がりました。
